Booked a stay here and the first thing I noticed was the location. It's really convenient for exploring the city, which is great if you’re looking to be close to the action. My room was sizable and offered a clean environment. I appreciated the polite staff at check-in. they welcomed me warmly. I faced a power cut during my stay which affected the dining services, but I didn’t let that disrupt my time since I explored the local Christmas market. Interesting enough, I did have some issues with a noisy bed in one room, but the reception staff promptly moved me to a quieter one. Breakfast was pretty decent with a good variety. Overall, while the experience was mostly pleasant, the noise from the bed and the power outage were definitely bumps in the road that impacted my comfort.

I stayed here for two nights while exploring the nearby attractions. The cozy lounge area was a great spot for evening drinks after a day of sightseeing. I particularly enjoyed the spacious room that provided a relaxing atmosphere, and the location was fantastic, just a short walk to many sights like the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. it suited my needs perfectly for this trip.

Room lacked sufficient plug sockets, which became a hassle with multiple devices needing a charge—just something to keep in mind if you’re reliant on power. The aged TV was difficult to see from the bed and the room appeared tired, needing a makeover. Lighting was an issue too. big windows blocked at the bottom made it overly dark, with minimal options for illumination in the living area. Though clean, the bathroom suffered from lukewarm water and lacked hand soap, which might disrupt those seeking comfort. Checkout complications arose when I was unexpectedly charged again for my room after prepayment, causing a minor but annoying delay.

Family with children excellent location
I gotta say, the breakfast was a highlight every day. They had this amazing selection, including fresh pastries and even the Scottish porridge — just gotta love it.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, let’s be clear, but for what we got, it was still acceptable.

Good location but needs improvements
I appreciated the hotel's close proximity to Haymarket Station, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were attentive and accommodating, which added a nice touch to my stay. However, I found the cleanliness of the facilities lacking, especially in the public areas. The noise from outside also made it difficult to enjoy a restful night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious Family Room. the tall ceilings and good facilities made it comfortable for all of us, especially with a grandchild in tow. The dinner menu was a delightful surprise—three courses for around £20, and absolutely delicious!
In my wife’s opinion, a small kids' play area would enhance family comfort.
